Original Duthie bookstore at 901 Robson

“Startlingly for Canada,” Quill & Quire noted, “[Duthie] had in architects, the firm of Watkins and
(GEOFF) Massey, and had the place designed specifically for selling books ..."

The original bookstore was at the corner of Robson and Hornby from 1957 till 1966.

  1. Hi Celia,

Glad you found these photos to share.. Have fond memories of Duthie's as my high school job.. To think I was on old Robson st amidst eccentric bibliophiles while my cohort were folding t-shirts in suburban malls.. Hope you are well.. If you are in New York in coming months, be sure to come say hello.

    Jeff
